I come to mandarin coffee quite frequently only because of one thing, their Vienna coffee! This place is located in the quaint city of Pasadena, tucked between an unassuming shopping center however quickly identified by their long line waiting out the door. I live in Covina, so making the drive to Pasadena and waiting in this line just for their coffee says a lot. I consider myself to be a coffee enthusiast and I haven't tried anything like this before. Vienna latte is the perfect amount of freshly roasted cold coffee with the subtlest amount of sweetness you could ask for. The cream on top of this drink is cloudy and balances the rest of the coffee perfectly. I recommend mixing the bottom half of milk with the coffee without interrupting the cream on top, then drinking it as is NO STRAW! it is very important to get the cream and coffee combo to achieve what Vienna latte is going for. Although I am raving about this godsend of a coffee I am deducting one star because of the wait. It will take about 30-40 minutes if the line reaches the end of the shopping center, it's not an enjoyable experience especially if you're driving from far. Mandarin coffee, is a coffee stand so only four people are allowed in per time and even then it does feel crowded. They are fast in making your drinks though as once you're in the shop you are out and can enjoy your drink at once. Cheers!

Had seen this spot getting all the hyper on social media and when i was visiting Cali and was in the area i had to try it. It's a super tinny spot nested in Pasadena. There was a line when we went but id say it went by pretty quick. I tried the Vienna coffee with oat milk iced and it was really good. It's not too sweet and the homemade sweet milk is amazing. Being from Austin this kind of reminds me of Summer Moon with the sweet cream.

Visiting from Utah, and the number one spot I saw on social media was the Mandarin! I am a coffee lover so I knew I gad to stop in. I ended up going with the Vienna latte after seeing everyone try it. It was delicious! It was smooth and creamy, just how I like my coffee! The staff was incredibly friendly, and I'm really glad we got to stop in before we left California. We went on a Monday morning and it wasn't terribly busy. Maybe 2 or 3 people in front of us, and the line went rather quick. I loved the calm atmosphere of the whole experience. I didn't feel rushed. I probably looked a little silly taking all these photos to the locals, but I couldn't pass it up! I hope if I'm ever back in Pasadena I am able to stop in again and try some new goodies! Thank you Mandarin!

Great coffee! I showed up 30 minutes before they opened and there was already someone ahead of me in line. The line definitely grew, but it was 100% worth the wait. You can tell people know what they're doing when they line up before opening hours. The coffee was smooth, flavorful, and just hit the spot. Highly recommend if you're in the area and don't mind a bit of a wait--it's worth it.

So I have to say the line does move although it is always out the door. The reason being they only have space for four patrons inside so you will have to wait until they come out before you go in. Everyone is so polite and patient here so it feels completely fine with the long line. More time to enjoy the ambience and take pictures in this cute alley. The menu choices are posted by the window and I wish they had a QR code before the line since we're all just waiting around instead of having it right at the entrance. Can't go wrong with their popular Vienna latte and their homemade sweet cream. The coffee is really strong if you like strong coffee as it will definitely give you a jolt. It definitely taste better without a straw so you can really soak in the cream. Pastries definitely run out really fast so if you come anytime after 1pm you're out of luck. Plenty of parking behind and a lot of nice eateries to go around as you're enjoying your coffee or two!

Thanks to my friend who suggested us to visit this lovely coffee shop on our girls date! Very unique decoration, chilling and comfortable vibe in deed. This is the BEST Sicily I've ever had, the citrus perfectly balanced the bitterness of the coffee!! Super refreshing at all seasons. Toasty latte is definitely heartwarming and cozy. Very smooth and silky texture. Expect a long line over the weekend. We went on a weekday and the wait was within 10-15 minutes.

Day: Monday Time arrived: 1:57pm Order/got my drink: 2:23pm Decided to stop by since my boyfriend had a dentist appointment in the area. I was a bit hesitant about the wait time, but with my luck..I felt it wouldn't be too bad. Haha and lucky for me it was as short as it could be. I went with an iced Hojicha latte with oat milk + a cream top ($7.75). This drink reminded me of Memorylook's matcha einspanner drink, because of the cream top. It has the same creaminess. Overall, the drink is pretty good. Roasty, creamy, a good amount of sweetness and not watered down. Fire. I don't know if I would wait more than 30 minutes for this place. But it is one of the better coffee spots in the area. Would I go back? Absolutely. I would like to try their other items.

This Asian owned and inspired coffee shop is one of my go to places when in Pasadena. I love the Vienna iced latte. The coffee is not bitter and in my opinion the perfect roast that pairs well with their house made sweet cream. The sweet cream is not too sweet and very smooth. If you love cream tops with your coffee, the Vienna would be a solid choice. The line is usually long but moved consistently. If you're in a rush, this isn't the place to go to. They make each drink to order and once you order, it takes 5-10 minutes for your drink to come out. The vibes of this coffee shop are cute! They sell matcha and hojicha powder here! There is seating outside where a lot of people like to sit and enjoy their coffee.
